Lawn Treatment Programs in Mankato, MN
Fertilization, weed control, and plant health — built as a season-long program, not a one-time spray. The most comprehensive treatment lineup in the area, for commercial and residential properties alike.
Build a Lawn Treatment PlanHealthy turf is a system, not a single spray.
Weeds, turf health, and soil condition run on seasonal timing — the right product at the wrong time is wasted money. That's why every Storm program runs the full season on a planned schedule: steady nutrition instead of quick spikes, prevention before problems appear, and results that compound year over year. It's the difference between a program and a basic "fert and squirt."
No mowing contract required. Treatment programs stand on their own.

Targeted treatments for specific problems.
Grub Control
Preventive treatments timed to interrupt the life cycle before root damage — or curative applications when grubs are already active. Watch for turf that lifts like loose carpet.
Mosquito Control
Seasonal reduction treatments focused where mosquitoes rest and people gather — shaded vegetation, bed lines, perimeters, patios. Honest goal: major reduction, not impossible elimination.
Fungicide Applications
For dollar spot, leaf spot, brown patch, and recurring disease in high-value turf — evaluated first, treated when it's actually the right tool, paired with cultural fixes.
Emerald Ash Borer Treatment
Trunk-injection protection for ash trees worth saving, with a multi-year plan built per tree. Assessment first — heavily declined trees get honest advice, not a sales pitch.
Tree & Shrub Plant Health
Fertilization, soil improvements, disease and insect management, and recovery support for the most valuable plants on your property.
Pre- & Post-Emergent Weed Control
Season-long weed strategy: prevent what hasn't sprouted, control what has — blanket and spot applications as conditions call for it.
All treatment services are outdoor turf, tree, ornamental, and mosquito related. Storm does not provide interior pest control.
Protecting the trees that make the property.
Mature ash trees are some of the most valuable and visible assets a property has — and EAB can take them down quietly. We assess each tree's canopy, health, and structure, inject the ones worth protecting, and build a multi-year re-treatment plan. Trunk injection moves the treatment through the tree, right where larvae do their damage.

Why does timing matter more than product?
Pre-emergents only work before weeds germinate. Grub prevention only works before feeding starts. Fall herbicide hits perennial weeds when they're moving energy to roots. A program exists to put the right application in the right window — that's most of the result.
Why is spring seeding usually not ideal?
Spring seedlings compete with crabgrass, face summer heat before roots mature, and conflict with pre-emergent weed control. Late summer and early fall give new grass warm soil, cooler air, and a full fall + spring to establish. We seed in spring only when the situation truly calls for it.
Why can't one application fix my weeds?
Weeds germinate in waves from spring through fall — one visit only catches one wave. Season-long control layers prevention, blanket treatment, and spot-spraying so each wave gets met with the right response.
How long until my lawn turns around?
Visible improvement usually shows in the first season — better color, thicker turf, fewer weeds. Real transformation is a two-to-three season build as soil health, density, and root depth catch up. How fast it moves depends on where we start: a thin, compacted lawn takes longer than one that mainly needs consistency.
